Nicolò Tresoldi: Atletico Madrid Leading Chase for €30m Talent

Sport news

Reports from Sportitalia suggest that Atletico Madrid has initiated discussions for the transfer of promising Italian-German forward Nicolò Tresoldi from Club Brugge, with a valuation set at €30 million.

The 21-year-old striker, who will celebrate his 22nd birthday next month, holds dual eligibility and could represent either Italy or Germany internationally. Born in Cagliari, Italy, he relocated to Germany with his family at a young age.

While Tresoldi has consistently played for Germany’s youth national teams, notably scoring an impressive 12 goals in 24 appearances for the U21 squad, he has yet to commit his senior international future to either nation. The upcoming Nations League matches in September could see him receive a call-up from the new Italian coach.

According to Sportitalia, Atletico Madrid has begun engaging with Tresoldi and his representatives, aiming to secure the talented player from Club Brugge. He joined the Belgian club just a year ago from Hannover 96 for €7.5 million and has since made a significant impact, registering 23 goals and nine assists in 58 competitive matches.

Consequently, Club Brugge is seeking a fee of at least €30 million to sanction his departure. In addition to Atletico Madrid, other clubs like Como and Bayer Leverkusen have also been linked with the player, following earlier reports connecting him to Milan and Arsenal.
