Besiktas' Interest in Trossard and Laurienté

Besiktas, managed by Vincenzo Italiano, is reportedly considering a €20 million offer for Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard. This move might lead them to abandon negotiations for Sassuolo's Armand Laurienté, as the Italian club deems him too expensive.

The Italian coach, having recently taken charge of the Turkish side, is keen on strengthening his squad, particularly in the attacking wide areas to align with his preferred style of play.

Italiano Weighs Options: Trossard or Laurienté

It was widely known that Besiktas was in discussions with Sassuolo regarding Laurienté, and the player himself was eager for the transfer. However, the two clubs have been struggling to reach an agreement on the transfer fee.

Sassuolo is reportedly seeking a sum of at least €25-30 million for the French winger, while Besiktas' initial proposal was closer to €20 million.

According to Sports Digitale, Italiano has given his approval to sign either Laurienté or Trossard, with the club intending to secure only one of them this summer.

Reports from Turkish transfer insider Yagiz Sabuncuoglu indicate that Besiktas has submitted an offer of €18 million, plus €2 million in add-ons, to Arsenal for Trossard.

If this offer is accepted, Besiktas is expected to cease negotiations with Sassuolo for Laurienté.

Trossard is currently participating in the 2026 World Cup with Belgium. His contract with Arsenal is set to expire at the end of the season, making this summer their final opportunity to potentially sell the 31-year-old player.
