AC Milan has reportedly explored Fikayo Tomori's availability with Coventry City, but the defender himself has rejected the prospect of reuniting with Frank Lampard.

The 28-year-old defender is expected to leave Milan this summer as he does not feature in the plans of new coach Ruben Amorim. His contract with the Italian club is set to expire in June 2027.

Tomori Poised for Milan Departure

Given his contract situation, a sale this summer is deemed inevitable for AC Milan, who aim to recoup some of the €36 million they invested in signing him from Chelsea in 2021.

The asking price for Tomori has been set at approximately €15-20 million, a sum Coventry City could potentially afford following their promotion to the Premier League.

However, Italian outlet Sportmediaset reports that Tomori has already dismissed the idea of joining Coventry, even though it would offer a reunion with Frank Lampard, with whom he previously worked at Chelsea.

Tomori apparently views a move to Coventry as a significant step down from playing at San Siro and is prepared to wait for more attractive offers to materialize.

This reported reluctance to move is not unprecedented, as Tomori also reportedly scuttled an agreed-upon transfer to Tottenham Hotspur in 2025.
