Inter Nears Agreement with Anan Khalaili; Talks with Union SG Progressing
Inter Milan is on the verge of securing the signing of winger Anan Khalaili, with the player moving closer to a transfer to the San Siro club.
Reports from Sportitalia, as cited by FCInter1908, indicate that the Nerazzurri have reached a personal agreement with Khalaili and are now in the final stages of negotiations with his current club, Union Saint-Gilloise.
Khalaili is slated to sign a five-year contract that includes a progressive salary structure, beginning at €2 million net per season.
Inter Agrees Personal Terms with Khalaili as Union SG Talks Advance
Sportitalia stated, "The agreement between Inter and the player is total. The technical project presented by the club convinced the player, who has given the green light to the move to Italy. Talks with Union Saint-Gilloise are also at a very advanced stage. The operation has been set up on the basis of €25 million plus bonuses."
The broadcaster further added that direct communication between the two clubs is anticipated in the coming days to finalize the details of the bonus structure and conclude the transfer.
Despite earlier speculation about potential competition, with Como being linked but subsequently denying any interest, the gap between the clubs is now minimal. Confidence is high that the transfer will be completed once the final bonus terms are settled.
This signing would address one of Inter's most significant priorities for the summer transfer window. As has been frequently noted, the Nerazzurri have been actively seeking a right-sided player to eventually succeed Denzel Dumfries, and Khalaili has consistently been their primary target for this position.
