Miralem Pjanić Instrumental in Kerim Alajbegović's Juventus Transfer

Miralem Pjanić, a former Juventus midfielder, is being recognized for his significant involvement in securing Kerim Alajbegović's move to the club where Pjanić himself enjoyed a successful period of his career.

Reports from TuttoMercatoWeb suggest that Pjanić, who transitioned into an agent after retiring from playing last year, accompanied the 18-year-old player to Turin and was present for the finalization of the transfer.

Leveraging his close friendship with Alajbegović's father, Pjanić is understood to have exerted considerable influence on the young Bosnian international's decision to join Juventus.

Speaking outside Juventus's Continassa training facility, Pjanić expressed his happiness for the Alajbegović family and their joy at being in Turin, stating, "We hope Kerim will do great things."

Pjanić's Influence on Alajbegović's Juventus Move

The 36-year-old former player, who concluded his playing career in late 2025 with stints at Roma, Juventus, Barcelona, and CSKA Moscow before entering the agency business, utilized his extensive network and personal connections.

His prominent standing within Bosnian football circles and his familial ties to the Alajbegović family provided Juventus with a valuable advantage in what was a competitive transfer market.

Interestingly, Pjanić's connections had previously been rumored to potentially benefit Roma, another of his former clubs. However, it was Juventus who ultimately secured the signing.

Juventus successfully acquired the highly-touted attacker from Bayer Leverkusen for a reported €30 million, with an additional €5 million in potential bonuses. They fended off strong competition, notably from Chelsea, and also saw domestic interest from Atalanta. Alajbegović has committed to a contract with Juventus that extends until 2031.
