Napoli Dominates Aris Thessaloniki 6-2 in Pre-Season Friendly
Napoli concluded their pre-season preparations with a resounding 6-2 victory over Aris Thessaloniki in their final friendly match. The Italian side displayed a strong offensive performance, with Scott McTominay, Kevin De Bruyne, and Lorenzo Lucca all finding the back of the net.
This dominant win served as the team's last test before their Serie A opener against Genoa on August 22nd. The team's training camp in Castel di Sangro ended on a high note with this commanding display.
The scoring began with Amir Rrahmani's spectacular long-range strike, which put Napoli ahead. Aris Thessaloniki managed to equalize through a well-placed free kick from Uros Racic, beating Napoli's goalkeeper Alex Meret. However, Napoli quickly regained the lead before halftime, with Scott McTominay scoring an easy goal from a precise assist.
In the second half, substitute Kevin De Bruyne immediately made an impact, scoring a sharp volley from a Matteo Politano cross. Lorenzo Lucca then came on and scored twice within his first ten minutes on the field, showcasing his predatory instincts. Uros Racic managed to score his second goal of the match with an impressive volley from outside the box, but De Bruyne had the final say, adding another goal to his tally after a skillful play by Giovane.
There were some concerns during the match as Antonio Vergara had to be substituted due to a muscular injury.
