Roma Fans Renew Record 11,000 Season Tickets in One Day
AS Roma has achieved a club-record by selling 11,000 season tickets on the very first day of sales. This remarkable turnout, with 4,500 tickets sold within the initial 90 minutes, reflects the immense excitement among supporters following the team's qualification for the Champions League.
In recent months, the Stadio Olimpico has frequently been at full capacity, a surge in attendance attributed to the arrival of coach Gian Piero Gasperini and the team's impressive climb to third place in the Serie A standings.
Fans are anticipating an even stronger performance in Gasperini's second season. This optimism led to the Roma website crashing as supporters eagerly sought to renew their season tickets for the 2026-27 campaign.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the initial 90 minutes saw 4,500 season tickets purchased, with the total reaching an astounding 11,000 by the end of the day.
This figure represents a significant increase of approximately 31 percent compared to the average uptake on the opening day in recent years, which typically hovered around 7,500 tickets.
With Roma returning to the Champions League after a seven-year hiatus, the demand for match tickets is expected to be exceptionally high, posing a further challenge to the club's ticketing platform.
