The 2026/27 Supercoppa Italiana will be a single match between Inter and Lazio, held at San Siro on December 22. The tournament abandons the recent Final Four structure.
Saudi Arabia hosted the last four Supercoppa Italiana tournaments but declined the option to host this season.
Three of those Saudi-hosted editions used a Final Four format. This involved semi-finals between the Serie A champion and Coppa Italia runner-up, and the Coppa Italia winner against the second-placed team in Serie A. The winners of these semi-finals then met in the final.
This format is now scrapped. The Supercoppa Italiana returns to a single-match format.
Inter winning both the Coppa Italia and the Scudetto facilitated this change. The upcoming match effectively revisits the Coppa Italia Final from May 2026.
Lega Serie A confirmed the match will take place at San Siro on the evening of December 22.
