Tulio Tinti, the representative for Inter Milan and Italian national team defender Alessandro Bastoni, has firmly denied any possibility of his client departing the club this summer. This comes amidst speculation linking Bastoni with a move to Barcelona as a key signing.
Recent reports indicated that Barcelona were interested in acquiring Bastoni for the 2026-27 season. However, the Catalan club’s ongoing financial difficulties, coupled with a reported greater need to invest in their attack rather than defense, and their recent acquisition of Anthony Gordon, make an expensive transfer for Bastoni highly improbable.
Bastoni’s Agent: ‘He’s Content at Inter, Talented Players Naturally Draw Interest’
With Barcelona now an unlikely suitor, Bastoni’s agent has reiterated that a transfer away from Inter Milan will not occur this summer. Tinti stated after a meeting with Inter representatives, “We did not meet with Inter to discuss Bastoni, who is a full Inter player with two years remaining on his contract. He is content to wear the Inter shirt. There has never been an issue.”
“Bastoni is an Inter player and will absolutely remain at Inter. In football, anything is possible,” he added.
Tinti acknowledged that it is natural for a player of Bastoni’s caliber to attract interest from clubs like Barcelona. However, he emphasized that at present, there is no prospect of the Italian international leaving, especially after Inter’s successful domestic double-winning season in 2026-27.
“Players like Bastoni naturally draw attention from many clubs, but he is happy where he is. One never knows what the future holds, but currently, Bastoni is focused on staying at Inter.”
