Liverpool Refuse to Lower Asking Price for Curtis Jones, but Inter Milan Still Confident

Sport news

Liverpool is reportedly unwilling to budge on their €30 million valuation for Curtis Jones. However, Inter Milan maintains a strong belief that an agreement can be reached with the English club, as the player himself is keen on a transfer to San Siro.

Inter Milan is actively pursuing the signing of Liverpool’s midfielder, Curtis Jones. The Italian club is confident of finalizing a deal with the Reds in the coming days.

According to reports, Inter submitted an initial offer of €20 million for the 25-year-old earlier this week. Nevertheless, Liverpool continues to demand €30 million, along with a sell-on clause. Inter is reportedly working to conclude the deal shortly, aiming for Jones to participate in pre-season training under Cristian Chivu in less than a month.

Jones’ contract is set to expire in a year, which reportedly bolsters Inter’s confidence that Liverpool will eventually reduce their asking price. Gazzetta claims that Jones is eager to join Inter this summer.

The publication also states that Inter Milan has continued discussions with Udinese regarding Oumar Solet, with the intention of bringing the 26-year-old to San Siro in time for the start of pre-season. Inter has also reportedly finalized negotiations with Atalanta for Marco Palestra in a deal exceeding €50 million, making it their first major summer acquisition.
