Manu Koné has rejoined Roma’s training sessions and is expected to feature in the starting lineup for their final match of the season against Verona. However, Lorenzo Pellegrini is still unavailable due to injury.
The pivotal encounter is scheduled to take place at the Stadio Bentegodi on Sunday, kicking off at 19:45 UK time (20:45 CEST). With this being the final round of the season, Roma, currently tied with Milan in third place, will secure Champions League qualification with a victory.
Victory Could Seal Roma’s Season
Midfielder Koné missed last week’s 1-0 victory over Lazio in the Derby delle Capitale due to a muscle issue. Fortunately, according to Sky Sport Italia, the French international has returned to training with the squad and is poised to start this weekend.
On the other hand, Wesley will be absent from the match as he serves a suspension following his red card in the previous heated encounter. Evan Ndicka is also unlikely to play, having sustained a muscle injury during the same game.
Pellegrini had been hoping to participate in one last match before his contract expires, but it appears he will not recover in time to face Verona.
