AC Milan Abandons André Transfer Amid Frustration with Corinthians
AC Milan has reportedly ceased its pursuit of Corinthians midfielder André, withdrawing from negotiations following the rejection of their latest offer.
The situation has proven perplexing for the Rossoneri, who had initially believed a €17 million agreement, including add-ons, had been established with the Brazilian club.
However, Corinthians President Osmar Stabile unequivocally dismissed this proposal, reportedly demanding a significantly higher fee.
Milan's Growing Frustration Over André Saga
According to ESPN Brasil, Milan submitted a revised bid totaling €22 million – comprising €18 million upfront and an additional €4 million in performance-related bonuses.
Yet, sources indicate that the response to this improved offer was so unfavorable that the Milan management opted to completely abandon the transfer attempt within hours of the new bid being reported.
Club directors have expressed considerable frustration regarding Corinthians' disorganized and erratic handling of the deal, especially since they were under the impression that an agreement had been secured several weeks prior.
The 19-year-old midfielder, often compared to Atalanta's Ederson, was reportedly very keen on a move to San Siro and was even prepared to waive his entitlement to 30 percent of any transfer fee to facilitate the switch.
