However, securing the Italian international will come at a significant cost, with estimations placing his transfer fee in the range of €70-80 million, including substantial bonuses, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. While formal negotiations haven't begun, Bastoni is considered Barca's primary target for the upcoming 2026-27 season and is reportedly open to a move to Camp Nou.

Should Bastoni depart, Inter's top target for a replacement is believed to be Lazio's Mario Gila, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport. The 25-year-old Spanish defender has accumulated 113 appearances in Italy, including 83 in Serie A. Gila has also drawn interest from Inter's city rivals, AC Milan, partly due to his connection with former Lazio director Igli Tare, now sporting director for the Rossoneri.
Negotiating with Lazio for Gila is expected to be challenging, despite the player entering the final year of his contract, which expires in 2027.
