Inter Secures Anan Khalaili Deal for €25m Plus Bonuses

Inter Milan has reportedly reached an agreement with Union Saint-Gilloise for the transfer of promising winger Anan Khalaili. Italian media outlets indicate the deal is valued at €25 million, with additional bonuses and a significant sell-on clause for his former club, Maccabi Haifa. Sources suggest Khalaili could undergo his medical examinations in Milan as early as this weekend.

The Nerazzurri identified the Israeli international as a key target to bolster their right-wing position, especially with Denzel Dumfries expected to depart for Real Madrid. Inter had previously pursued other options, including Marco Palestra, who ultimately joined Chelsea.

Negotiations for Khalaili proved challenging, with Union Saint-Gilloise having rejected two prior offers from Inter, reportedly amounting to €20 million and then €23 million, both including add-ons.

Khalaili's Move to Inter Finalized

However, reputable sources such as Sportitalia, Tuttomercatoweb, Sky Sport Italia, and Fabrizio Romano now report that a breakthrough has been achieved. The final agreement is understood to be worth €25 million, with add-ons that could potentially bring the total value closer to Inter's initial asking price of €30 million.

A crucial aspect of the deal includes a 15% sell-on fee for Maccabi Haifa, who originally sold Khalaili to the Belgian club in 2024 for €6.5 million. This clause will benefit Khalaili's former employers should he be transferred again in the future.

The versatile right-back, who will turn 22 in September, was a pivotal player for Union Saint-Gilloise last season. He demonstrated his attacking prowess by contributing six goals and six assists across 42 appearances in all competitions.

Reports from Italy suggest Khalaili is scheduled to arrive in Milan for his medical assessments either on Friday or Saturday. Earlier in the summer, Napoli had been in advanced discussions for the player but were unable to finalize a deal until they had secured player sales. Como also expressed interest in acquiring Khalaili.
