Italy's Official Squad Announced for World Cup Play-off Final Against Bosnia-Herzegovina: Five Players Excluded
Gennaro Gattuso has announced the Italy squad for the crucial World Cup play-off final against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The squad sees the return of Andrea Cambiaso, while Giorgio Scalvini has been omitted.
Coach Gattuso has revealed the Azzurri lineup for tonight's decisive World Cup play-off final.
Out of the initial 28-man provisional squad, five players have been excluded. Gattuso has opted for just one alteration from the team that secured a semi-final victory against Northern Ireland last week.
Juventus full-back Cambiaso rejoins the squad, whereas Atalanta's central defender Scalvini will not be featuring.
Gianluca Scamacca remains unavailable due to injury. Other players omitted from tonight's fixture include Elia Caprile, Nicolò Cambiaghi, and Diego Coppola.
Gattuso intends to keep the starting XI unchanged from the team that defeated Northern Ireland 2-0 last week, with Moise Kean and Mateo Retegui leading the attack.
The match is set to take place at the Bilino Polje Stadium in Zenica. The victor of this encounter will secure a spot in the World Cup, joining Group B alongside Canada, Qatar, and Switzerland.
