Juventus Prepares Contract Offer for Franck Kessié Amid Al Ahli Standoff
Juventus is reportedly preparing a formal offer to sign Franck Kessié as a free agent, following reports that the ex-Milan and Atalanta midfielder has put contract extension talks with Al Ahli on hold.
Kessié's current contract with the Saudi Pro League club is set to expire at the end of the season. It is understood that the 29-year-old has disregarded a two-year extension proposal from Al Ahli.
Sources suggest Kessié is keen on a return to Serie A this summer. Such a move would likely entail a significant reduction in his salary compared to his current earnings of €14 million per season at Al Ahli, dropping to an estimated €5 million annually if he joins Juventus.
Juventus is reportedly ready to present a two-year contract offer at this €5 million per season figure. However, the Bianconeri are not the only Italian club monitoring the situation.
Other Serie A teams reportedly showing interest in the Ivory Coast international include Roma, where he could reunite with his former Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini, and Inter, who are said to be looking for a midfielder with Kessié's specific attributes for the upcoming season.
Kessié represents just one of several high-profile free agents targeted by Juventus for the 2026-27 campaign. The Turin giants are also reported to have initiated preliminary discussions with Bernardo Silva and Leo Goretzka as part of their strategy to bolster the squad.
