Palladino: Atalanta, A Model for Italian Football with Faith in Youth

Raffaele Palladino elaborated on Atalanta's core philosophy, envisioning the club as a potential benchmark for Italian football, especially as they contend for a top-four position in Serie A ahead of their match against Lecce.

The fixture is set to take place at the Stadio Via del Mare. The competition for fourth place has intensified following recent results, including a goalless draw between Como and Udinese, and Roma's significant 5-2 defeat to Inter. A victory in this game would place Atalanta within five points of Como, with seven league rounds remaining.

“Our consistent objective over the past five months has been to relentlessly climb the standings,” Palladino stated in an interview with DAZN Italia. “We’ve secured numerous victories, demonstrated strong competitiveness in the Champions League, and remain active in the Coppa Italia. For today's match, three Italian players are starting for Atalanta, alongside two in the Lecce lineup. This number would have been higher for Atalanta had Gianluca Scamacca not been sidelined due to injury.
