Spalletti Extends Juventus Contract Until 2028, Comolli Hails Him as 'Right Person'
Juventus CEO Damien Comolli is thrilled with Luciano Spalletti's contract extension, stating, "It was immediately clear to everyone that Luciano was the right person to lead the team on a path of growth."
Official: Spalletti Renews Juventus Contract Through 2028
Luciano Spalletti, the current coach of Juventus, has officially signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2028.
The club first announced the agreement by sharing a video of Spalletti informing the players of the news before a training session.
Shortly after, Juventus confirmed Spalletti's renewal in a statement that included Comolli's enthusiastic comments. "We are delighted to have extended Luciano's contract for a further two seasons," commented the Bianconeri director.
Spalletti took the helm in late October 2025, succeeding Igor Tudor, and initially agreed to a short-term deal that was set to expire at the end of the current season.
Despite currently sitting fifth in Serie A, just one point behind a Champions League qualification spot, Juventus has opted to continue with the Tuscan tactician regardless of which European competition they will participate in next season.
"Since Luciano joined our great Juventus family, he has had an immediate and very positive impact on our players, the whole Club, and the entire Bianconeri community," Comolli elaborated.
"It was immediately clear to everyone that Luciano was the right person to lead the team on a path of growth."
"His ambitious style of play aligns with the expectations of our fans and the Club, and his values embody our identity."
"We have therefore decided to continue working together beyond the previously agreed contract term because we believe that stability and continuity are two essential pillars for future success. Good luck, Mister! Fino alla fine."
During Spalletti's tenure, Juventus has secured 17 victories in 31 matches, with six losses and eight draws.
Their next fixture is a significant one in the race for a top-four finish as they are set to face in-form Atalanta away tomorrow, Saturday, April 11.
